DESICATOR CABINS

Water in the air, expressed as moisture, refers to moisture. Chemical substances used in laboratories such as calcium oxide, sodium chloride, silicagel are known for their moisture-retaining properties. Humid environment, the most favorable environment for the growth of microorganisms; it is also the main cause of negative effects such as decay along with oxygen, change of chemical composition, deterioration and corrosion. In order to avoid these adverse conditions, the moisture-retaining materials must be removed from the moisture and stored away from moisture. Desiccators are suitable for drying these chemicals.

Features of Desiccator Cabinets

Desiccators provide dry storage for low humidity requirements. In short, they are closed containers that provide moisture free and dry atmosphere. Chemicals that retain moisture in the air are stored here to ensure dryness. Dry media may be provided with a vacuum tap. Alternatively, moisture-sensitive materials are placed in the cabinet and kept by these materials in the undesirable humidity held by the stored chemicals. These dryers are dehumidifiers which are placed in the collection tray. Examples of dryers which tend to attract moisture are anhydrous calcium chloride, silica gel, calcium sulfate. Desiccants can be easily refreshed and dried because the life of the desiccators is quite long.

There are many types of desiccator cabin system. Both portable and cabinet type cabin systems are suitable for laboratory use. According to its model, the cabinets and shelves of the cabinets, which offer capacity up to 90 liters, are made of special materials resistant to chemicals. Moreover, it offers regular storage space thanks to its height adjustable shelves, which provide a folded system design. Thanks to the digital humidity and temperature indicators, it is possible to have information about the interior environment. Thanks to the transparent covers, the inside of the cabin can be seen. The doors are easy to open, but the lid should be closed so that the desiccator can function properly. Also, the covers should be closed immediately after the dry material has been taken from the cabinet. There are non-slip feet at the base to provide a safe environment.
